High spec glazing supports a BREEAM Excellent and SKA Gold law firm workplace
A major London law firm’s new headquarters was designed to reduce environmental impact without compromising the privacy and performance required for legal work. Designed by Sheppard Robson and delivered by ISG, the twelve-floor fit-out achieved BREEAM Excellent and SKA Gold, placing sustainability at the center of the project rather than treating it as a secondary layer.
Optima’s glazing forms part of that wider strategy. Demountable partition systems, high acoustic performance and carefully selected glass configurations create private offices, meeting rooms, focus spaces and shared amenities across the building, while maintaining a consistent, light architectural language.
Sustainability carried through the fit-out
The office operates on renewable electricity and incorporates energy-efficient features including LED lighting, contributing to its BREEAM Excellent and SKA Gold ratings. Across the interior, the specification balances operational performance with materials and systems selected for long-term use.
Optima’s partitions are demountable, allowing them to be dismantled and reconfigured as the workplace changes. This gives the glazing a longer useful life within the fit-out and reduces the need for complete replacement during future alterations.
Privacy expressed through glass
Clear glazing is combined with back-painted glass in a Telegrey finish across private offices, meeting rooms and focus spaces. The opaque panels provide visual screening while introducing a more layered architectural treatment than a fully transparent elevation.
Revolution 100 double-glazed partitions provide up to Rw51dB with two panes of 12.8mm acoustic laminated glass, while Edge Affinity double-glazed doors provide up to Rw41dB. Together, they create the acoustic separation required for confidential work without relying on solid internal walls.
One glazing language across twelve floors
Slim transom Tech Panels introduce a consistent horizontal detail outside meeting and focus rooms, helping organize the long runs of glazing through the building. Axile Pulse doors define the transition into the office, while Revolution 54 Plus screens shape breakout areas, dining spaces and print hubs.
The result is a coordinated interior in which environmental performance, acoustic privacy and architectural consistency are resolved together. The BREEAM Excellent and SKA Gold ratings reflect the wider success of that approach: a workplace designed to perform responsibly over time.
