Bronze Reeded glazing brings privacy and polish to BCG’s Riyadh headquarters
Boston Consulting Group’s new Riyadh headquarters brings its Saudi operations together in KAFD, one of the city’s leading commercial districts, designed by AAID and delivered by INC. Optima’s Revolution 100 Shoreditch Edition partitions, Edge Symmetry doors and Tech Panels were delivered in an anodised bronze finish, with reeded glazing adding a more layered approach to visual privacy across the office.
Bronze detailing with a quieter sense of privacy
The anodised bronze finish gives the glazed elevations a warmer and more composed character than a standard black or silver powder coated system. Used across the partitions, doors and integrated details, it creates a consistent architectural language that feels suited to BCG’s high profile nature.
Reeded glazing adds a further layer of privacy without closing the rooms off completely. It softens direct views into meeting spaces and quiet zones while still allowing daylight and movement to remain visible through the office, balancing discretion with the openness expected in a contemporary workplace.
Acoustic control for confidential work
The office required spaces for private conversations, focused work and collaborative meetings, making acoustic performance central to the specification. Revolution 100 single and double-glazed partitions were used for the main enclosed rooms, with the partition performance reaching Rw40dB and Rw51dB depending on the configuration.
Edge Symmetry single and double-glazed doors complete the acoustic strategy at the room entrances, with door performance reaching Rw35dB and Rw41dB depending on the selected arrangement. This allowed the project team to match privacy levels to the use of each room rather than applying one uniform solution throughout.
A premium headquarters in KAFD
The specification had to meet both the design intent and the technical requirements of a major workplace in Riyadh. The Shoreditch Edition aluminum banding introduced a more distinctive rhythm to the glazed elevations, while Tech Panels were integrated into the scheme to keep functional elements cleanly resolved within the partition line.
The result is a headquarters that feels precise, controlled and highly finished. Acoustic performance, visual privacy and bronze detailing work together to create a workplace tailored to BCG’s operational needs, while giving its Saudi team a polished base within one of Riyadh’s most prominent business districts.
