Optima Cycling Teams support Mental Health UK
Optima colleagues have been getting on their bikes to support two important charity fundraising events, joining teams from across the construction industry to raise money for Mental Health UK and KIDS.
Cycling for Mental Health UK
At ISG’s annual cycling event, 300 riders took part and covered more than 18,000 miles between them. Two Optima teams joined the challenge, helping to raise funds for ISG’s UK charity partner, Mental Health UK.
The charity supports people affected by mental health problems across the UK, providing information, advice and practical support. Events like this bring together colleagues and industry partners while helping generate funding for services that can make a meaningful difference.

Mace Cycle / Hike Chilterns Challenge
Optima cyclists also took part in the Mace Cycle / Hike Chilterns Challenge in support of KIDS, a charity working with disabled children, young people and their families across the UK.
Despite difficult weather, members of the Optima team completed the challenge alongside other participants, with donations matched by the Mace Foundation. The funds raised contributed towards KIDS’ work supporting families and helping young people access the services and opportunities they need.

Both events were a great opportunity to support worthwhile causes while bringing Optima colleagues together with clients, partners and others from across the construction industry. They also reflect the value of getting involved beyond day-to-day project work and support charities making a real difference.
